About Heather Thomas
Heather Thomas is a connector, a mentor, a guide and a facilitator of health and healing. Drawing from her knowledge and personal experiences she is able to affect positive change wherever required. Heather approaches her life and her work with curiosity, passion and love. She lives her yoga, walks her talk (as often as she can) and encourages others to do the same.

Heather Thomas is a student of life and enjoys the challenge of exploring new realms of work. Currently she is studying the healing life science of Ayurveda (a sister science to Yoga). She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance (ERYT500) in the United States, a full teaching member of the International Yoga Teachers Association (IYTA) in Australia and a graduate of the South Okanagan Yoga Academy (SOYA). Heather is also a Reiki Master/Teacher and a Registered Massage Therapist specializing in CranioSacral Therapy.
Currently Heather runs a limited and exclusive private practice focusing on private mentoring, group events and workshops both in and outside the community of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Heather offers yoga and meditation in the community on a selective and part-time basis. She is also the Directing Lead Instructor of Fort McMurray SOYA Yoga Teacher Training Program now in its 4th year. Heather and her husband, Russell, co-own BirdsongConnections Inc. (the parent company of HeatherThomas.ca & H3 – Healthy, Happy & Harmonious Life Programs) where they work together with individuals, businesses and organizations in facilitating new discoveries for increased success in life and in business.
Finally and with much gratitude Heather enjoys the ongoing support of her husband, Russell and two sons, Dylan and Ben without whom none of this would be possible. Junior the Hedgehog is also an integral member of Heather’s support system in that he helps make life even more delicious and joyful, encouraging Heather to take time to re-ground and re-connect at the end of each day.
